Natalie Cragg
Assistant designer
This is me... Firstly I would just like to say thank you to the lovely Gemma Jones for making me write this personal blog about myself for all the world to see!
Where to start……..I am the new B to the group at LV, graduating in Interior Design from Manchester Metropolitan University.
I work along side Ed as an Assistant Designer in our hectic design department where we are constantly trying to create that unique dining experience, developing our restaurant lines "BLACKHOUSE" and "Gusto"…watch this space!
This is what I have done... Whilst at uni I was on a constant holiday, being encouraged to travel the world developing my design knowledge. Midway through my degree I had the opportunity to study in Toronto Canada "O Canada" For 7 months, meeting some amazing people and fitting in as much skiing as humanly possible (resulting in fracturing my arm).
Once realising I wasn't a born snowboarder and valued my life I returned to the cold rainy city known as Manchester and wondered what now?!…..
I decided to move down to the big smoke where I helped manage a Bar in Canary Wharf (female population 2%). 200+ mojito's and 600+ pints later with a gut that any builder would be proud of I decided that I'd sooner design bars/restaurants than manage them and went in search of someone to convince I was creative enough to be taken on as a designer.
For some reason (I personally think pity) that moment came shortly before Christmas when I was invited to come and work at LV back up in the wonderful world of the North as an Assistant Designer….the rest is history.
And this is what I'm all about... after reading the above I do tend to talk too much however give me a bottle of rum with a bag of limes (three squeezes please) and I'll be quiet!
When I'm not talking or pretending to be a pirate I do like keeping fit by going to the gym (when I can find a descent pair of trainers) and playing badminton, where I was fortunate enough to play internationally for 7 years. If I'm not doing anything else then my final resting place is snuggled up on the sofa watching family guy…"giggity giggity!"
